We are here in the Chicago area so John can attend his 50th HS Reunion and of course visit the kids and grandkids.

Hike in Great Smoky Mt Nat Park (Sep 1)

We hiked 8.2 miles with the Mountain High Hikers on a portion on the Benton MacKaye trail. We started at the end of "The Road to Nowhere" with a part of the hike along Forney Creek. We tried to figure a way to fish this without the 3 mile hike to get there. We must say we were quite tired when we got back to the cars.



There is an unused tunnel which is a part of the "Road to Nowhere."
